Is Python experience absolutely required for the SE role? It's probably the easiest language to pick up, no?
It is, sadly; we're a very small team and we don't have a lot of cycles to spare on onboarding, so the fewer new things a hire needs to learn the better. It's not ideal! But it's an age and stage thing rn.
They don't really allow much of anything in terms of interaction in these anymore.
