CEO Pat Gelsinger Loses 40% Discount from TSMC Over Comments Made

Oh man, this is such a great lesson to teach kids interested in business: If you're (A) reliant on a supply chain partner, and (B) that supply chain partner is giving you non-obligatory preferential treatment, and otherwise meeting all of their commitments, then (C) do not go out of your way to say anything that would make them look bad. However arrogant you feel, be careful to speak no ill of them, not even privately.

This is lemonade stand stuff, not even "Business 101," and that Gelsinger made such a gaffe is just odd.

That TSMC so quickly voided the discount shows who really had the upper hand, anyway.

"Lost", not "Loses". This happened over 3 years ago, just months after taking over the CEO role.
