"If there was ever any doubt, this action makes clear that the Chinese government will use supply chains as a weapon to advance their interests over ours." This is funny. The US imposes sanctions on China and complain about them doing the same in return. How many times have we heard that over the course of the last 50 years? History doesn't repeat itself. Politicians remain stupid.
Expand this to when they take Taiwan (which they have helpfully announced they will do by 2027). They will 100% use supply chain to exert pressure on anyone and everyone to achieve their aims. The question we need to ask ourselves is how are we exposed to pressure by Chinese manipulation of the supply chain and how can we remediate that exposure?
