I'm Martin from RestDB and Codehooks.
We're a indie tech company from Norway which have worked in the backend-as-a-service space since 2013 when we founded restdb.io.
We wanted to take the more technical parts of that project and build something really simple and user friendly which could be used to build and deploy backends much faster, but still similar to the tech we love (Node.js, Express, JavaScript/Typescript, MongoDB, Redis).
We think it's a viable alternative to Firebase and Supabase.
It has a free plan and the following features:
- Serverless Javascript/TypeScript Functions - Automatic CRUD REST API (no coding required) - Built-in document database with MongoDB-like queries - Built-in key/value store - Worker queues (for async/background processing) - CRON-like and scheduled jobs - Realtime client connections - Easy web-based UI for managing data (import/export/query) - Let's encrypt SSL certificate - Hosted static web pages - Templates - complete solutions from one codebase - we've added Codehooks Analytics which is a free open source template which can be used instead of Google Analytics if you want full control of your data. - Coming soon: web based code editing
We hope you'll try it out for your next project and would love feedback!
