Jeff Bezos defends Washington Post's end to election endorsements

Oligarchs gonna oligarch.

"attempts to defend" anyway, seems to be making things worse from my perspective.

Billionaire buys newspaper. My skepticism goes up.

Billionaire claims he will not interfere with paper. My skepticism remains alert.

Billionaire interferes after all. My skepticism feels vindicated but wonders why bother to claim non-interference in the first place? What changed?

Makes sense. Only billionaires should be able to use their wealth and influence to coerce an election.
