Redact-a-Chat

Interesting concept. I open it and the very first chat i see is a slightly obfuscated n-word. Seems like most activity is just seeing if people have already said curse words, and apprending words with some character to make a single-word sentence.

If you just put an underscore between each word then the redaction moves to units of sentences instead of words. If you permute the underscores with hyphens then each sentence is easily accomplished near factorially with sentence length.

Just got in and all I see is variations on the N-words and hate speech against jews.

Maybe consider constraining users to real words (like those of the scrabble dictionary) and filter out bad words?

This should also redact any non-dictionary words. Just_typing_like_this_to_make_a_really_long_unique_"word"_is_silly.

I just opened the site, got the text where anybody can enter the same word only once per day, background blurred. From the background I could see the N word in different versions, so just closed the tab.

>Redact-A-Chat is an online chat platform where every word can only be used once a day.

In case people aren’t aware: This is from mschf. A modern (edgy) design brand who are known for things like the flip-flop high heels, a reverse sneaker, out of focus money stack and probably most famous the big red boot.

Enjoy. But also sorry to ruin it a bit. This will also work for many word filters online. I kinda feel bad bringing this up.

Pretty cool how this is surviving the HN hug of death right now. What's it built on?

Every now and then the beauty of 90s Internet anarchy comes back in brief flashes
