The python-box library seems useful.

I saw it at Chapter #12 in this video by user ArjanCodes:

It does have some limitations, which he mentions, and for which he gives some workarounds.

I used to think this was a good idea before I found dataclasses, attrs, and Pydantic. Now I realize it's a terrible idea.
