I kind of hope that American tech one day instantly withdraws from the EU so in the ensuing chaos the EU has a FAFO moment.

american tech companies need the world more then the world need then.. specially social medias..

twitter was banned in Brazil for a month and life here just kept going as usual, in the end it was Elon that came back crawling with the tail between the legs..

American tech companies withdrawing from EU would be a glorious day to EU..

Everything from emergency services to the healthcare system to most people's communication would instantly grind to a halt if American tech pulled out of the EU.

That is not even close to what would happen in reality..

first of all, all the communication infra is already in place, american companies pulling does not mean the infra goes down immediately... people communication and emergency services would keep working as usual for a long time..

And there are LOTS of chinese companies that would gladly come and take over the market..

This is why american tech companies will NEVER pull from EU.. EU market is huge and they need the money from it.. while the EU market have alternatives if they need to...

I sincerely love and appreciate our EU friends and allies but shit like this gives me the feeling that they lean so hard into nanny regulations and flagrantly contrived lawsuits on successful American tech companies to make up for how uncompetitive their tech scene is.

Why can't they roll their sleeves up and outcompete our misbehaving tech companies instead of this horseshit?
