Withdrawing contributions from WordPress Core and WordPress.org properties

Tonya Mork, another core committer, announced she'd be pausing her contributions.

WordPress dot org profile on the author, for background:

This focus on hours and badging of what one contributes is so gross, but I can't point at anything specific

I just looked again after a short sleep. I can put some words to it now.

Is this a job, or contribution? The terms are very confused. Within 8 lines of each other are the words "contributions" and "job title".

One does hopefully contribute to their employer, but I feel the phrasing is deliberately vague. Setting up for a truly annoying semantic argument.

I quote Janet Jackson: "what have you done for me lately?". Goes both ways.

I think these kind of core contributors should organize and fork WordPress as it is today and move to different names and trademarks.

I would suggest either "OpenPress" or "LibrePress" as names :)
