True, it’s such a weird target selection. You’re not getting any money, you aren’t really making a big statement, why would you do this? Just advertisement for your DDoS for hire?

Because kiddies have no honor. It's always been like that. They do this stuff as jokes/cool points within their little circle jerks.

I'm guessing it's because the usernames and passwords they get could get them access to many other things since even after all this time people still reuse passwords.

Well they are hashed and salted, I don’t think you can get a lot out of that.
