I'd rather an Erik Naggum than milquetoast passive aggressiveness. If you're going to be a dick, at least be up front with it.

The thing that always amused me about Erik was that he was often right, but dismissed because of his tone or reputation.

Or, just don't be a dick, full stop.

yeah that's probably ideal. but if I had to pick one, the outfront dick-headedness is much better than the passive aggressiveness all over HN.
