Ask HN: Server-side development in Vim using LLM APIs
I have to develop server-side and so far, I've been using vim. I would like to use LLMs for code generation, and even for the overall file creation, file moving etc. Right now, my environment is very simple, it's vim + git in tmux over ssh. I would like to be able to hop between different LLM models, by plugging my API keys for all of them (openai, anthropic).
Most of my repositories should fit into the context window, but I would like the IDE to be smart about what I'm sending with the context.
What is the best way to do this? vim plug-ins? Abandon vim (I'd rather not) and use cursor.ai IDE?
