Hey HN,

We’re excited to share Software Engineering Handbook – a unique book that goes beyond technical concepts and dives into the life aspects of being a software engineer. From tackling migration challenges to balancing work as a parent, this book is designed to offer practical wisdom for both personal and professional growth.

Many of us wish we had mentors to guide us not just through the technical stuff but also through the broader challenges we face in our careers. This book aims to be that guide, answering questions you may not even know you had and providing insights you can apply at every stage of your journey.

It's a comprehensive approach to software engineering, covering everything from coding best practices to navigating career and life challenges in the tech industry. Check it out and let us know what you think!

Nice looking landing page. I like the idea of a book with holistic advice. I like the domain and name.

Have you considered making the ebook public domain and free, and just charging for a paper version?

Here's my user test: https://news.pub/?try=https://www.loom.com/embed/9f59e3fc516...

Thanks for the kind words! We appreciate your suggestion, but we haven’t considered making the ebook public domain. Our goal is to provide real value with the content, and we believe the pricing reflects that.

We might consider it making it down the line!

No sample chapter? how do we know this isn't just A.I. generated slop?

You can check out buying options on platforms like Google, Amazon, and Apple, all of which provide sample chapters for you to review before purchasing. Thanks for checking it out!

I think this post is pure Spam. Nothing else..

Why is your perspective valuable?

Our perspective is valuable because we’ve gained extensive experience across both Europe and the U.S., working in startups and renowned companies. I (Yusuf) have worked with Amazon, Workday, and TripAdvisor, while Ender has worked at Microsoft, Meta, and Uber.

Our combined expertise spans multiple industries, leadership roles, and technical challenges, making Software Engineering Handbook a unique blend of insights from both continents. This diversity helps us provide practical, well-rounded advice for engineers looking to excel in their careers.
