Tell HN: Google's play console phone verification is broken

Per Google's new play store policy all app developers need to verify their information. This includes a valid phone number(s). Businesses also need a DUNS number.

The Issues is that there is a deadline and the phone verification either by sms or phone call does not work. I have been trying for over a week and I keep getting an error regardless which phone number I try. All request show up in the browser console as 429 (Too many requests) so there is some issues probably regarding preventing spam.

Many others are also experiencing this issue which can be seen by this thread which has a new reply every hour. https://support.google.com/googleplay/android-developer/thread/206281945/we-can-t-verify-your-phone-number-right-now-try-again-later-play-console?hl=en

Is anyone from Google here that can take a look and escalate this? There obviously seems to be a Problem but no one seems to be able to get in touch with anyone who can actually fix it.
