You titled this as something like a blog post, but it's a link to a product. You should at least have used the "Show HN" tag.

I've always been self-conscious about my thinning hair, and I couldn't find a good way to objectively track changes over time. So, I decided to build my own solution: Myhair.ai. It's a mobile application that lets users:

1.Track daily hair growth

2.Monitor hair loss

3.Analyze overall hair condition

4.Receive personalized insights

Some technical challenges I faced:

- Developing accurate image recognition algorithms to detect subtle changes in hair density and length

- Creating a user-friendly interface for consistent photo uploads and progress tracking

- Implementing machine learning models to provide personalized recommendations based on individual hair patterns and user-inputted data

I'm still refining the app and would love feedback from the HN community!:) What are your thoughts on using AI for personal health tracking? Are there any features you'd find particularly useful in a hair analysis tool?

If you're interested in trying it out or learning more, you can check it out at https://myhair.ai.

I'm happy to answer any questions about the technical implementation, my approach to data privacy, or the challenges of building in the health-tech space.

Just shave your head.

"I built a (software) machine that will aggravate my personal mental health problems".

how can I try the app? I don't find it in the app store
