McD's is just so slow these days. I was at an airport recently and wanted to get some breakfast there. But it just takes too long, like 20 minutes for an egg mcmuffin? I realized I could have gotten an egg on bagel at the cafe just down the hall for a dollar more and had it in 2min. Next time I'll skip McD's altogether.
> touchscreen kiosks have added extra work for kitchen staff and pushed customers to order more food than they do at the cash register
So we will also see an increate in obesity?
Very optimistic piece describing the gradual automation of McDonalds, soon they won't need as many humans.
The kiosk doesn't smirk when you order 6 large fries and a diet coke
It doesn't smirk at you, but an alert is emitted to the kitchen to make everyone laugh.
