I wanted to add a progress bar to a markdown file but couldn't get it to work. GitHub strips out much of the HTML you insert, meaning <progress> and <meter> tags won't function. Despite knowing that various solutions already exist, I couldn't find one that fit my needs. As a software engineer, I sometimes prefer to tackle things the hard way — so I spent a few days creating a custom generator and tweaking it to fit perfectly on GitHub.
This is really cool! Great work. Thank you for sharing.
