Stripe is well known for burnout and intense workplace toxic culture. Just behind Amazon.

I personally know 2 people who almost lost their mind working at Stripe. Thankfully, they pulled the ejection handle and left before it got to them.

If someone is in the office working alone on Sunday, I want them to go home and not work. Burnout is real, I'd rather work with a team that's gonna stick around for 5+ years staying productive.

Maybe I misunderstood, but I don't think that is the point of the test. I think it works equally well if you phrase it as "if we had optional wfh and this person were alone in the office on a Wednesday, would that make you more or less likely to want to come into the office?"

If it worked equally well they would say Wednesday. This is specifically pointing at a weekend and time off.

The fact it is undated just reinforces my first reaction that this is vapid SEO spam. Plus it's pretty horrid advice beyond say 25 employees. I believe the intended audience is first-time employers, who haven't any HR experience.

tl;dr: they aim to hire great people. But doesn’t really explain how to build a great team.

With agile and Scrum and safe of course! And midyear, okr, end of year, personal goal oriented reviews, reviews, reviews and more reviews.

Oh wait no. That was how my employers and HR depts _destroyed_ great engineering teams.
