Good for mass communication as sometimes needed in emergencies situations , widespread floods , earthquakes, bush fires etc FM has much more limited range
Yeah, assuming anyone knows what station to tune to... or that it even exists. I don't know a single person who listens to AM radio anymore; I can't even give you an approximate count of the number of ultra-conservative stations still broadcasting on AM.
