Nice. If this happens I'll give Fedora a serious try. Getting tired of Nate closing my bug reports with "it's a Kubuntu thing". :)

I use KDE on Fedora every day, and it's great.

I didn't install any spins, just the Plasma desktop packages and the few KDE apps I use. GNOME still works, but I rarely log into it.

Same here. I'd forgotten that it wasn't an Edition until I saw this.

Is there a reason why Fedora can't just add a feature in the installer like Debian where you just select which DE you want? They can put it behind an advanced button or something so the default is just Gnome.

Yeah!!!

Having it side by side on the installer would be the right way to do it!!!

openSUSE guys also do it that way (no advanced button, however! just an extra step at the installer)

The KDE Fedora website already calls it an Edition

The Fedora KDE Plasma Desktop Edition is a powerful Fedora-based operating system utilizing the KDE Plasma Desktop as the main user interface.

yes, but it's still hidden behind the "Spins" label.

The change means moving it into the "Editions" label!!!

(hopefully label it as Plasma Workstation vs Gnome Workstation)
