Mercedes testing EVs with solid-state batteries on the road 'in a few months'

Not sure how this makes sense when I am driving an excellent Mercedes EV today.

While they do sell ICE vehicles still they have a great line of EVs and clearly are moving more in that direction.

To me, this is more like "maybe hold off on buying a vehicle for just a bit longer until we got our shit in order (and know exactly how much we can charge you)."

And all the big automakers have been saying exactly that for almost ten years now

Why would you buy an ICE vehicle today when scotch yokes and freevalves are just around the corner? The technology just isn't ready!
