I mean, who in their right mind would raise kids in Oakland right now?
I think you mean "safer than East International Blvd."
I don't demand that you cite crime statistics by zip code, and compare the good ones to other cities. But that's what you'd need to do to be persuasive.
as do I. However, there are city-wide issues you can't avoid, like:
1) If your house is burglarized, will the police show up, at all?
2) When you call 911 for a real emergency, how long before someone shows up?
3) If you get robbed on the street, do the cops show up?

Doesn't seem AT ALL like a place to raise a family to me. Go look up the last time there was a shooting in Portola Valley or Cupertino.
