shelly is a shell-like inteface for the web made with pure and vanilla HTML, CSS and JavaScript. It's completely configurable and should run decently on any browser.

So is the idea that you create commands that call different HTTP backends? Do the backends need to support the user-input-as-header stuff, or is this translated to call arbitrary HTTP backends? Please give some more info about the use-cases you are trying to support. I'm interested, but not quite interested enough to read the code to find out if I want to use this.

It'd be really nice if instead this was a custom element, like `<shelly-shell>` so that wherever you put that tag you had a self-contained instance.

For the server backend do you mean that an npm module like bash-parser would be a requirement? I would love if you could briefly expand on this!

Why? What's the main use case?

Because it doesn’t do anything on its own.

It sounds like user input is the _only_ input, so why not just use a POST request with a body?

Also, notable js/terminal stuff is xterm.js. It has websockets for stdin, stdout and stderr etc.
