We created this AI meeting assistant to help entrepreneurs, founders, and managers of remote teams handle their virtual meeting management. We personally faced the challenge of numerous daily calls with different teams, clients, and partners when you lose track of what was discussed and agreed upon. That's why we created MinutesLink, designing it to be intuitive and easy to use.

Aren't these features already being included in meeting platforms like Meet, Teams, Zoom and so on with much wider platform integration? At $18/m per business user wanting to take notes for Meet calls this is $2 away from the cost of Gemini across the entire Workspace platform. What's the incentive to spin up yet another 3rd party per employee subscription for a specific AI tool per app if not price?

Sorry if this is coming off overly doubtful I just have a tough time with the level of competition in this market lately.

Thanks for your thoughts! The competition is tough, but the key lies in the quality of the services provided. Right now, very few options can deliver human-level accuracy in transcripts and meeting minutes, and most apps are clumsy and overly complex. We're determined to change that for our users.

Can you describe what you envision this “AI clone” doing on my behalf?

> As you consistently use MinutesLink to manage your meetings, our advanced technology gradually learns your communication style, decision-making processes, and thought patterns. Over time, as we gather enough data, we’ll be able to create your personal digital avatar - a powerful AI clone that mirrors your behavior and can take over routine tasks for you.

I mean, I get what they're conveying - but the wording is clumsy when seen through [OBEY] lenses...

Hey, thanks for your interest in MinutesLink's vision for the digital avatar! It will be capable of answering questions based on your knowledge base, performing repetitive tasks, and even leading conversations on your behalf. Additionally, it can offer access to your knowledge base in the form of consultations, helping you monetize your expertise."

I was going to say that you would have to at minimum match: https://fireflies.ai/hipaa

but then I looked at their pricing, and I have no idea what it actually costs..

and this FAQ answer still has me wondering what it costs-

"What is counted as a seat?

Any teammate you added in your Fireflies workspace would be counted as a seat. If you are on paid plan then you would be charged on per seat basis. Teammates are invited from team invite panel. You can share individual meeting recap links with participants or other users without adding them in your team free of charge."

So F-it - I'll just record and then transcribe with any one of the several local programs I already have on my local machine.

For every "record call" app / feature out there, consider: https://recordinglaw.com/party-two-party-consent-states/

Most people don't even know or think about this. When people join a meeting I host and invite their robot, I kick the robot out. Otherwise, I'm just not sure they are actually engaged in the meeting. If you don't want to be on the meeting, decline it. But don't assume it's cool to record everything. Some of us work in industries (legal being one) where you don't want to create recordings, especially of privileged discussions.

Thanks for your opinion! You can always decide if you want the meeting to be recorded or not. The tool is useful in some use cases, however, you're right, some conversations should not be recorded.

I think what they’re actually saying is in certain states, both parties need to consent to being recorded. As in clicking a button to approve. Which is different than the recorder simply deciding to record by default.

From the FAQ:

"At MinutesLink, your security is our priority. Every conversation is encrypted from start to finish, and

*** only authorized personnel can access your meeting notes. ***

You have full control to delete or modify your data at any time. MinutesLink is also GDPR & CCPA compliant."

Doesn't really fill prospective users with confidence. Who has access to meeting notes, and why?

Why is access and storage required? To train the LLM?

No thanks. Stick with a pen and paper.

You can decide whether the meeting minutes and records are available to all participants or only to those you choose to share them with. Access and storage are necessary to keep the records, transcripts, and meeting minutes of the calls. This information will be used to train your personal digital avatar only with your consent.

It's entirely your choice whether you want to use pen and paper or take advantage of AI meeting assistants like MinutesLink.

"Access and storage are necessary to keep the records, transcripts, and meeting minutes of the calls."

Doesn't answer the question of who has access and what the RBAC model is.

"This information will be used to train your personal digital avatar only with your consent."

There's an awfully large amount of trust contained within that statement.

How is this different from Otter or Limitless or any of the others?

Ease of use and accuracy in transcripts and meeting minutes for one. Moreover, with the user's consent, we will leverage the data from meeting behavior patterns to create a personalized digital avatar. This AI clone will be able to autonomously manage specific tasks and engage in conversations on behalf of the user.

not sure if it's just a firefox thing, but something is wrong with some of your previews (html id: animation3), I genuinely think they'd be epileptic seizure-inducing

Thanks! we'll check it out

I couldn't reproduce in a Firefox fork in "troubleshoot" (safe) mode. Did reproduce in normal mode. It seemed to be somewhat mitigated by manually disabling extensions but then I couldn't pinpoint a config state to reliably reproduce it. Issue seems to return to some degree after clearing cache for the site. I didn't have time to finish doing this comprehensively but I think it isn't a clientside problem anyway. I'm not familiar with this SVG/Lottie animation but it seems that choppy/jerky/stuttering SVG animation with clip-path in Firefox is a known issue with a variety of workarounds floating around on SO, etc.

Mostly boring/useless but issue repro 1m38s https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=Z2erRvTeC3s
