FWIW, It's all about tradeoffs. I've got a bunch of mini-pcs running Ryzen APUs lying around, some of them have SO-DIMM DDR5 and others have LPDDR5.

The former is user-changable and the latter isn't. The latter allows much higher frequencies that measurably increases the fps in games.
