Measuring the Black Death

I thought Ziegler was on the high side if anything. And now I find most people in this demographics exercise think he was on the low side.

Rent rolls, and parish records would be the main source in the UK? Death registries might be unreliable because who has time to fill in the book? But the 5 and 10 year distance of land-rent and parish records would tell a tale.

(I am unsure how other economies did this stuff. the UK had the followon of the domesday book and the talley stick returns to run on)
