Telegram is one of the last remaining bastions of free speech and the internet as “Wild West” in the world, where nobody cares about “intellectual property” and shares the digital files and infinite information we’ve been so fortunate to have as widely as possible. This is saddening to see. I’ve made a lot of friends on Telegram with people who are into the same hobbies as me, and it’ll be disappointing if it ends up the same as Facebook or YouTube. At least there’s Yandex but it doesn’t have curated collections of content for us data hoarders (I know of a place with over 100 terabytes of high quality STL files, for example).
