Is Sony Alpha 7 III still a worthwhile investment in 2024?

In the “lights on and nobody home” department the real sequel camera, the a7iv isn’t mentioned, only the C and R variants.
What I am looking for is somebody who spent some time with the camera, can tell me how well the autofocus works if you try to shoot a basketball game, show a good sample of pictures they took (“I like the pictures I took” tends to beat “this camera has great specs”) anything about what it is like to live with the camera (when I jumped from the ii to the iv nobody told me that I’d go back to using the USB port instead of removing the SD card because it is hard to remove the SD card on the iv)
Then there is a huge list of all the same lenses you can use on all Sony cameras which is no interest to a Sony fanatic who has many of them and has read reviews of most of them. When I was an SEO spammer I would have made landing pages for all the lenses and linked them but I guess we spam isn’t what it used to be. But: pick out a few lenses that you have an opinion of (my 90mm/2.8 is versatile and takes pictures that look every bit as good as DxO’s measurements say it will take) and you’re going somewhere.
