I was never going to fall for the "digital drivers license" idea in the first place, but this gives a very good reason for why one should just keep the little plastic card instead.
100% this. Any documentation that I may need to hand to someone else for inspection does not live on my phone, because there's no way I'm willing to hand my phone over to someone I don't already trust.
