According to Epic Games website, Epic Games Store requires iOS 17.6 to install. Does anyone know why this specific version is required? AltStore PAL has been working fine since iOS 17.4.

Could have nothing to do with Apple's restrictions. Might just be the version of the app they built with. It's very hard to logistically to drop old version of iOS after you support them so oftentimes new apps will launch only supporting the latest version

Apple, was is worth it banning Epic?

at this point the DOJ should just look at what the EU's done with Apple and copy it

The laws in the US are different, so it makes sense that regulatory bodies in the US act differently.

Sure, they can't literally copy and paste it... but all the outcomes are great.

> Apple said in a statement that new EU law "required us to enable new capabilities for developers in the EU, and we have worked to make them as easy as possible for users while also trying to protect their privacy and security."

B-b-but, muh grandma who uses an iPhone! I can’t spend 5 minutes with her, let’s block millions of kids from playing game on their phone, because Apple wants to squeeze more blood from their monopoly!
