Tell HN: YC Company (Grey W22) Spamming WhatsApp Groups
"Hi there, how are you doing? I got your number from one of the digital nomad groups we're in. I'm Angel, I work at Grey, a Fintech that enables cross-border payments. We recently expanded into Latin America and South-East Asia. I'm trying to do research on how we can improve our messaging and service. I'd really appreciate it if you could fill out this survey as honestly as you can. https://forms.gle/Re1tvW9PtR36M1Cu6. I don't mean to be a bother and I'm really sorry if I'm intruding. Thank you very much for your help."
And I have no way to express how annoying is it to have a "hustler" spamming communities I manage. By my surprise when googling about it to complain I saw that they were in the W22 batch of YC. I guess showing my dissatisfaction for this lame practice here is the best thing I can do. So here it goes: people at Grey W22, getting numbers and sending private messages to people in communities you were not invited to join is a lame (if not criminal) practice.
