Is this the same Chipotle "leader" than recently raised prices, reduced portions, and generally made everyone hate Chipotle?

The key to success in business is to goose profits in the short term and GTFO before the consequences hit.

It's so damn sad that this is true. Grocery stores are laughing just as hard.

Brian Niccol is aggressively anti union, and is likely being brought on to play hardball with Starbuck's ~470 unionized stores and ~10,500 union workers. Laxman Narasimhan (ousted) was likely too lax and accommodating of unionization for Howard Schultz's liking. Howard Schultz stepped down to transition to Narasimhan previously, but appears unhappy with the results.

> 2022: Chipotle’s CEO says he’s “disappointed to see” employees unionize.

> “I really don’t think we need a third party to get between our restaurant teams and our company,” he told Yahoo.

> Chipotle workers in Michigan formed the company’s first U.S. union this year.

> Laxman Narasimhan (ousted) was likely too lax

He had to be, it’s in his name.

lol I remember that asshole. They fired almost the entire Denver based corporate office in 2018 to relocate to California because this guy didn’t want to move to Colorado.

Feel bad for the Bux.

I'm not sure how it happened, but this tracks with my personal experience. 15 years ago the local stabucks had a fireplace, was meticulously clean, was busy but had seating, and generally was a place I associated with a really pleasant feeling.

Now my local one is more dirty than a McDonalds (perhaps people using up seats are seen as unprofitable), the drinks are even more expensive, and my stomache absolutely cannot handle their drinks (is it the acid, the sugar, or what?).

Great. The place that sells overpriced coffee that smells and tastes like scorched dogshit that literally nobody can afford along the likes of McDonalds raising their prices so high during COVID-19 that everybody's just now feeling the 'ah fuck' effects from meets the asshole that skimped out on everybody's food portions by them getting half meats at the stores so store managers could get mega bonuses for reduced operational costs? Pickup driver orders from ride-apps would be like 1/4 the size because complaints go through the deliveries.

Then play stupid saying 'Oh, most of our stores were doing that.'
