i saw the videos... super sad. some pilots I know are talking about ice in the clouds and that the pilot asked for permission to land but was denied

After watching the videos the other similar crash it comes to my mind is a civil 747 that was incorrectly loaded with military vehicles. I think admiral cloudberg covered the details of that accident.

It's kind of crazy how infrequently ice causes civil aviation crashes these days. That seems like a really hard problem to solve.

This is terrible. I fly a lot and falling out of the sky like this is my worst nightmare.
