Ask HN: Anyone experiencing sudden AWS RDS issues?

The last few days we have been experiencing some bizarre and out of the blue issues with PSQL RDS in us-east. An engineer on the team was talking to a friend at a different organization and they have also been having the same issues around unexplainable load and table locking. I guess their app was down for a few hours this morning.

Of course AWS dashboards are greener than a rainforest.

Is anyone else suffering from sudden and unexplained RDS performance degredation this week?
