I have been meditating for 16 years and have utilized many different sounds. Some years ago, I came across Bob Monroe and the Hemi-sync tapes, which is ultimately the original inspiration to create this app. You can search the CIA archives and find some interesting investigations on Bob Monroe’s works and frequencies in general. I also used some Google patent research for inspiration.
Shimmr uses AudioKit to create sounds in real-time. This approach supports my long-term goal of adding more custom functionality for users. I have some ideas on creating dynamic tones that will in some way be more custom for each user. Using just MP3s or WAVs was never going to work.
This is the MVP I released recently. Please give it a try—it’s free! :) Lots of new sounds and additions are already in the works.
I’d love to hear your feedback and thoughts!
Cheers!
Its not the same as my app with the frequency tones but it's a great app nonetheless.
But I found music is mostly added to other apps hence the reason to build my own. Do you use a Mac? I am contemplating to build it for Mac as well
