The opulent world of six-figure kids birthday parties in Silicon Valley

I imagine this is more for the parents than the kids, especially if the kids are pretty young. I would not expect a kid to remember anything, even a lavish birthday, if they're toddlers or up to 3 or even 4. Yeah, I'm sure there are a few people out there that remember events from that young but I think it's pretty rare.

While I’m not anywhere close to spending ten thousand or more like the ones in the article, we use our kids’ birthday party to spend time with the parents. So we plan it like an adult party with adult food and drinks.

We go to dozens of kid birthday parties each year with the same pizza, popcorn and fruit punch. Everyone is tired of them, so we host a party for the parents.

Everyone should watch “Napkins” in season 3 of The Bear. And all the episodes before.
