"Bail out" to me implies that things were good, then went bad, but could be made good again (at someone else's expense).
Was xAI ever in a good state? What would such a good state look like?
This feels like "speculation" or "gambling" rather than bailing out.
It's also self-dealing against the interest of TSLA holders. But those people seem especially masochistic.
the man is writing his own script. It's fair to say any other CEO behaving like this would've long since been removed. However, Musk is a strategic asset for the US (see SpaceX, Starlink, Tesla, arguably X) and he can't be taken down like the PRC did to Jack Ma. He's also obviously partisan in his domestic politics, so an asset for Trump also.
He is not a strategic asset for the U.S. He isn’t taken down like Jack Ma because the U.S. is a different system than China. SpaceX would not collapse if Musk were replaced as CEO. Same for the other companies.
SpaceX would likely do fine, Tesla too, but its stock would get a major correction, Twitter might actually recover some losses without Musk, X.ai might go bust, but that company has no importance as of now.
