Microsoft: Nobody forced you to use our product
If Microsoft wants to keep that cash making machine it should fulfill some minimum guarantees and feel consequences if their choices lead to damages.
I'd like to see you driving a car, flying a plane or riding a train that was built with your "no guarantees"-mindset. Aren't the benefits of modern society that we can bite into a piece of food from the supermarket without dying because we didn't research the exact places where it was made? This is only possible with standards and checks.
If rotten food was served to you, is that on you for ordering it?
Why would you think like this?
I have enough of an IT background that I'm not going to buy into a theory that is something like "choosing Windows" is actually "necessary". Maybe in the early 2000s, sure. But this decade? Bull-fucking-shit. We are in a year where everyone (or in Malaysia at least enough people) 35 years old has grown up around computers.
We are far beyond the point where there are any valid excuses.
