Actually not a terribly stupid idea. I get that the Musk hate brigade will probably find something to call foul on, but Elon's attention has definitely been more on xAI recently, so a big investment like this could help Tesla solidify its position.

Just curious: what do you see AI capable of doing for a car company? Thanks.

FSD? :-D

Improve robots, and humanoid robots that are used in the assembly line?

What was the question?

How about "Musk asking his followers, not Tesla shareholders"? I guess that makes me one of the brigade.

It's telling that he's directing that question to his fanboy choir and not to the actual shareholders, who are the ones who actually have their money invested.

He's asking followers, then shareholders, and finally the board.

I'm curious, why do you think this is relevant for the interests of all shareholders of a car company?

Hasn't Tesla been for years failing to deliver on all their other fantastic promises, such as the infamous full self driving that was perpetually 1 year away?

You missed the news...

> Tesla will start using humanoid robots in 2025

ROTFL

Humanoid robots are being used in Tesla right now, for real tasks, not for showoff.

Ok; then why this show-off comment to the press ?

You're strange.

So Musk can keep diverting his attention to new startups and Tesla should keep throwing billions at them. Great plan, bro.
