Google rolls back decision to kill third-party cookies in Chrome

I hope Google will at least containerize third-party cookies so they can’t cross domains you visit. Essentially third-party cookies loaded from example.com won’t be loaded when visiting example2.com.

Third-party cookies are bad, but none of Google's proposal sound any better.

Their proposal to have 3rd party operated "Data Clean Rooms" (ie data brokers) hoarding consumer data was downright insane.

oh google, that's just sad

at this point i wouldn't be surprised if they announced simply blocking all the cookies except for google ones

for people disappointed in google: let me just shamelessly plug our private web analytics that is not using third-party cookies and never will, no matter the "rules" - https://seline.so
