Are you telling me that there are actually people out there in userland who still don't block third-party cookies.
What a surprise.
> U.K. policymakers asked the tech giant in February to pause its planned phase-out of cookies over antitrust concerns.
i'm trying to understand how eliminating such cookies could lead to antitrust concerns. Any enlightenment on that point would be appreciated.
If I recall, the primary issue was that Google was going to 'own' the replacement implementation. That doesn't mean other's would be locked out of it, but it would be yet another deathgrip of the web by Google.
That makes sense. Thank you.
How would you create a competing ad network of the same scope?
How about we ban advertising so that getting rid of the cookies doesn't have that problem?
