This whole mess is an example of how media desire for eyeballs and sensationalism can drive paranoia and panic. None of the big networks used their power to bring common sense and rationalism to this issue. Instead they fueled the flames and caused great harm. People are gullible. I wish media could be held accountable for their failings in these situations.
