Meta Eyes Stake in Maker of Ray-Ban in Smart Glasses Push

Today we see many people afraid of these glasses .. i love mine and use them to record my own personal life .. what's in front of me and my life experiences. I have no desire to record random people unless it's interesting and if your doing something interesting in public you are looking for public attention. Some creepers may use them inappropriately but they will be the minority.

In five or more years Im betting 40% or more of the population will have these ... Facebook buying a stake in Ray Ban shows that the latest version have reached a nice level of success and will only continue.

As a complete phone replacement im not sure as you can not take selfies and we as humans are addicted to taking selfies. They are great when on a hike/walk/wherever without your phone just to ask what the time is, as well taking pics or videos.

This is one company (Luxottica, not Meta) that I cannot for the life of me figure out why the FTC/DOJ haven't been constantly trying to break up. It very clearly is a hugely dominant monopoly with significant pricing power over consumers

What we need, to drive content, is cameras freaking everywhere. Imagine like Amazon's TV show based on your Ring cameras, only walking/driving around everywhere. Police subpeonas on your footage because you were identified as near something, better not have anything embarrassing in your field of view. Have fun at any political event.
