"As a composition tool, Scribe does not train on your inbox data — it cannot because of Proton Mail’s zero-access encryption."

"Scribe is the first mass-market AI tool that can be run entirely locally on your device, ensuring no data ever leaves your device"

God I'm so happy I moved to Proton.

In theory you could train locally and only send the combined gradient update to a central server, but I'm sure some people would argue that that's not fully privacy preserving.

As a non-native English speaker, I may be one the few finding this addition really useful to correct syntax and spelling mistakes.

I am not 100% sure to understand the hostility towards such a feature, that seems accessible only via a user-action.
