The cognitive dissonance people exhibit when you bring this up is absolutely astounding to me. You can show people that we (USA) are being actively attacked every day by an entity who hates us and is actively trying to undermine us in several ways which cause real world harm. They will sputter and ask about bombs and bullets and a Taiwan invasion.
