They blattantly evade the key concern by responding that they had “suitable… agreements were in place with [those] who live-listened to elements of the calls”. What matters is the agreement of the caller.

I never used their services, but when querying a technical matter with them I came away with a pretty dim view of their basic competence so I'm not entirely surprised to hear of this.
