Spectrum internet is down across Texas

They claimed they were going to restore service by 5 pm CST, but it took until 7:30 pm CST for us to get it back.

PS: If you're Google Fiber, please roll out to the TX triangle. We're dying here where the only other alternative is GVEC.

Which intern messed with the BGP config?

Their website and app are not working either. Outage has been going on for over an hour now.

What is the reason for this?

No one seems to know. The company--of course... Spectrum is absolutely terrible--hasn't said a word about the reason.

A star link dish with internet access will set you back $500 plus $120/ mo, but you can cancel any time

(not in texas.. but in rural area)

openwrt mwan3 + starlink + 5g

not as good as a fixed line, but in terms of overall availability? pretty good
