Design as Thought: AI and the Future of Design

Sloppy reasoning from the elitist progressive art school doomer perspective. They say man-made is special and art requires a meta-story they approve of in order for true appreciation.

>Both writing and reading [will be] completely outsourced to AI.

Not totally, but so what if it were and regular people are empowered by it? Is their issue really only wasted megawatts or that they'd lose control over the current curation processes ?

>The purpose of AI is to replace thought ... to make thinking superfluous

AI makes your book superfluous if I never intended to devote my limited thought to it. Author's can look at this like a lost sale or lost convert but either way his relevance declines so it's understandable he is shook.

Make no mistake. It's not like any tool that has come before. It's purpose is multi-faceted and for the first time undefined. Use it for tedious tasks and as a springboard to greater self-reliance.
