Of course it's an A/B test, not a manipulation or something nefarious. Just a team collecting data on whether the forums tab is useful/beneficial to the user.

How can they know if it's beneficial if I can't even click on it? Are they tracking my mouse frantically looking all over for it?

Just switch to duckduckgo. Silly name but it's so worth it.

I used it for many years. Not worth it.

That's different from a site actively preventing you from accessing a results section you know is there. It's not like you can go to "forums.google.com" like you can with "images.google.com"

Now logged out, it's obvious Google is punishing me for security settings, by periodically, repeatedly, and inconsistently making me solve recaptchas.

So glad I use Kagi and avoid all this google nonsense.
