Ask HN: Any interesting coding questions you've been asked in interview?

Curious to know what are some interesting coding questions or coding implementations you've been asked in a technical interview?

I've never had an interesting coding question posed in an interview, but I did have an interesting homework task assigned as part of the application process many years ago. They wanted me to implement a ML-based engine that determines optimal routes and schedules for freight trucking.

They gave me 4 weeks. I declined (it was an egregiously over-the-top ask), but I have to admit it was an interesting problem.
